Café flooring with ‘zing’

Rumor Has It café is a family run business in Palmerston North. Originally set up as a home cookery, bakery and out caterer, and more recently began supplying its customers with food to go. The café recently relocated to one of Palmerston North’s main routes after seizing an opportunity to grow their business.

Inteman Design was contracted to provide an interior scheme that would give ‘life’ to the Cafes new space as well as provide a ‘point of difference’. This was achieved with the designer’s choice of flooring, Interface carpet tiles, from Inzide Commercial.

The 1968 collection of carpet tiles have strong retro patterns and colours which could tie the interior attributes together.  Selected walls painted in Resene Double Diesel, were matched to a base colour in the Interface carpet tiles. This resulted in a bold and stimulating cafe interior that owes its point of difference to its striking flooring system.

The design, fit out and specification of Rumour Has It cafe exceeded its owner’s expectations and continues to build a loyal base of customers.
