Doug Angove
Doug Angove is part of the specification team at Parbury with national responsibilities for key accounts as well. Doug has been involved in the NZ building industry for 25 years with a background in commercial and industrial insulation and of more recent times in the kitchen industry. Doug has an extensive knowledge and experience in the natural and engineered stone industry internationally. Doug’s hobbies include gardening and spending time with his 7 grandchildren.
David Muir
Following experience in both the UK and NZ, David Muir formed ellerymuirassociates with Mark Ellery in late 1996. He enjoys project variety, while specialising in retail design. David is a past executive and Professional member of DINZ, and enjoys the importance of the NZRIA as a representative body offering great networking opportunities across all disciplines.
Chris Norris
Over the last 25 years Chris has helped a number of consumer and corporate brands get to market. He began his career as a designer and has a real passion for aesthetics and tactical consistency, plus his strategic marketing background helps in his understanding of the greater picture, ‘the why’. Chris has set-up and sold two design businesses, is currently Marketing Manager of Sign of the Times, a regular contributor to NZ Retail and TO Magazine, the magazine behind the NZ Tourism, and a business mentor for Enterprise North Shore. Chris can’t express enough the need to speak in plain English to get your message across and thus his mantra is ‘keep it simple’.
Mark Tyrell
Mark Tyrell is the only South Island based member on the executive and is a director of Miller Studios Ltd, a design driven shopfitting and signage company established in 1913. Mark manages the Christchurch branch of the company, while his three co-directors are based in Dunedin, enabling thorough control over any South Island contract and the resources to offer a nation-wide service. Mark is also a professional member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
Michael Bridger

Michael is a Director of Silverline Projects Ltd and applies the experience previously gained over ten years in the role of ‘General Manager Construction’ for a leading New Zealand shop-fitting company. He is passionate about contributing to the wellbeing of the New Zealand shop-fitting industry and has a background in Project Management and Building Surveying. As a South African born New Zealander Michael has 30 years experience in related industry and business ownership.
Michael Eden
GDM Group is a specialist retail systems manufacturer established in 1978 by Michael Eden supplying leading retailers in New Zealand and Australia. Michael believes one of the strengths of NZRIA is in networking. Michael is a keen golfer and enjoys racing classic motorcars.
Nick Turpin
Nick immigrated to NZ from the UK in 1994 with a background of 8 years in design and architectural model-making. Once in NZ Nick made the transition to cabinet-making and spent the next 10 years learning the cabinet-making and shop-fitting trade, from grass roots level to becoming the Director of his own company Dimension Shopfitters (2004) Ltd. In a short time Nick has taken his company to new heights within the shop-fitting industry – Nationwide. He enjoys the challenge of translating designers’ concepts into working installations. He brings to the table his broad experience in design, manufacturing and shop-fitting which has helped him to achieve his company’s success. Nicks leisure time is spent with his wife and kids and would love to fit in more time for sailing.
Peter Wethey
Looking for a change from the corporate world, Peter Wethey was attracted to Pizazz by the quality and flexibility of its product range, and purchased the company 18 months ago. Peter enjoys the challenge of finding innovative solutions for clients’ design and display requirements. In his spare time he likes to go fishing and play golf.
Robb Donze
Robb Donze managing director of InterfaceNZ, a distributor of speciality floor coverings. He has been associated with commercial interiors for more than 20 years. Robb grew up in Vermont, USA. Moving to New Zealand ten years ago, he founded Interface Agencies seven years ago. Robb is keen to see the NZRIA grow into a strong voice where all three disciplines work to provide the best retail outcomes for New Zealand.
